How can the technology and innovation improve the mobility of people and the logistics of goods in the last mile to be more sustainable and efficient in the cities?

Las Rozas Innova, the Public Innovation Company of Las Rozas de Madrid, launches a challenge to the entrepeneurial ecosystem to identify and reward innovative solutions that allow cities to go on improving urban mobility in the last mile, in order to make it more accessible, efficient and sustainable.

We join Global Mobility Call to launch an open call for entrepreneurs with innovative, original, scalable ideas and projects with the capacity for impact and growth that help to make the mobility in the last mile of the cities more sustainable and efficient.

We want to focus on the mobility of people and goods in the last stage of their journeys.

Cities facing the Last Mile Challenge:

How can technology and innovation help cities to improve the mobility of people and the logistcs of goods in the last mile to be more sustainable and efficient?

If you are a startup or you have an idea that can solve this challenge, participate in the Las Rozas Innova #LastMileChallenge. The finalists will participate in the Pitch Day at the Global Mobility Call on October 25th and win great prizes!

Who can participate?

We are looking for innovative ideas and projects that help to make the last-mile mobility more efficient and sustainable.
The finalists will be able to present their projects in the Pitch Day, which will be held in September at Global Mobility Call. There will be great prizes!

Ths is your challenge if you have ideas or projects:

That are applicable to cities.
With high potential for growth and scalability.
That give a total or partial response to the challenge, providing differential value through the application of innovation, technology or a new business model.
That are originals. Plagiarized solutions or those that have already been awarded in other contests are excluded from this challenge.

Stages of the Last Mile Challenge

What can you expect?

Las Rozas Innova will distribute a total of €15,000 in cash between the winners in the two categories to develop their solutions. There will be only one winner in each category.

IDEA/PROJECT CATEGORY: The winner will receive €5.000 in cash.
START-UP: The winner will receive €10.000 in cash.
And both winners will receive in kind…
- Admission in the Hub Las Rozas Innova. You will have at your disposal all the services that we offer to start-ups: access to a network of experts, training, visibility on social networks… and more!
- The chance to carry out a pilot test in Las Rozas de Madrid (if the winning solution has a certain level of maturity and fits in with the city).

Ifema Madrid: possibility of presenting their projects at Global Mobility Call 2024 edition, as winners of the challenge

Startup category

Alsa: access to the the chance that ALSA evaluate the feasibility of carrying out a pilot for a business area of the company, as long as the project fits into ALSA’s business
DHL Express Iberia: visit to the DHL Innovation Center in Troisdorf, Germany. Possible pilot with DHL, as long as the project can be applied to the logistics of DHL.
Iberia: travel bag for €2.000
IAG Cargo: mentoring sessions with senior leaders and subject matter experts for projects related to air cargo and a guided visit to its cargo terminal in Barajas, Madrid
Ifema Madrid: stand in the startup area at the Global Mobility Call 2024 edition
Renfe: tickets fo the winners to attend events in wich Renfe participates (South Summit, Al Andalus Innovation Venture). Participation in the Mataró Mobility Antenna edition and a chance to carry out a pilot test with €40.000 in six months.
Talgo: 2.000€ in cash, the chance to carry out a pilot and visit to the factory, in Las Rozas

Idea category:

What is the selection process like? The jury

The jury, a committee of evaluators proposed by Las Rozas Innova, will analyze the projects and select a number of finalists, and later, the winners of each category.
